Last Week to Early Bird Register for Vivace and Madrigal Kids Camp

THIS WEEK IS THE LAST WEEK TO REGISTER FOR THE EARLY BIRD PRICING.

AFTER JULY 1, the price increases by $10 a person.  On-Site Registration will be $150.

WHAT:  This camp is for singers who are interested in middle school

and high school choir!

If you like to sing, dance, learn music, make new friends, perform, create, and be a part of something amazing,

this camp is most definitely for you!

A Cappella Choir Invited to Perform at Southwest ACDA Convention

Dear A Cappella Choir Members and Parents,

Greetings from Cincinnati, OH! I am taking a break from grading AP Music Theory papers to to share with you that the Coppell HS A Cappella Choir was selected from over 100 choirs submitted to perform at the Southwest American Choral Director’s Association Convention in March 2016 in Kansas City.

This is a tremendous honor and is the choir equivalent of being in the sweet sixteen or final four! This will be the first time a choir from Coppell will perform at a Convention since Madrigals performed at TMEA and SWACDA in 2006. Our choir will be performing for Choral Directors from around the Southwest United States.

I will send you the dates once I have them as I know CISD will want to have an parental presence at this convention when we perform.

Congrats again for being selected for this group!  You have all now been added to Google Drive and should be able to access the files you need.  If you have any trouble, let me know.

Madrigal Parent Tasks 2015

Dear Madrigal Parents,

As you know, we have many tasks that go into a successful Madrigal Feast.  It requires the participation of every Madrigal Parent.  This year will be our 21st Annual Madrigal Feast which will be November 20 and 21.  We want it to be among the very best!

Click here to view a list of volunteer tasks that MUST be covered by Madrigal Parents.  The first people to volunteer by replying to this email with their preferred duty (or duties) get first choice.  We are looking to have all of these duties assigned by the start of school so people can start planning.  I will update this list as people volunteer.

Keep in mind that all parents will need to plan to help during the Feast on one of the two performance nights.  This will mean they will need to plan to purchase tickets to attend the Feast on the other night.

Thanks for helping us make this Feast a wonderful experience for all who come and for our singers!

Choir Audition Results Posted TODAY

Dear CHS Choir Parents,

 

Today at the end of school at 12:20, we will post the results for choirs for next year in F Hall in front of the choir room by CISD ID number.  We are not allowed to post online.
