Couple of Choir Parent Reminders

Good morning CHS Choir Parents,

We need to remind you that ALL Choirs will perform at the Madrigal Feast next weekend.
Bella Voce and Men’s Choir (6th and 2nd Periods) – Friday, December 9
Kantorei and A Cappella (3rd and 5th Periods) – Saturday, December 10
The singers will need to plan to be there from 5:30 to the end of the performance those nights.  They will be servers and then will perform during the concert portion.  They will wear their concert dress to serve and perform.
We invite you all to attend to support your singer as they have been working very hard to prepare for this concert for several months.  Please plan to purchase tickets prior to next Monday as we have to make our food orders at that time.  You can purchase your tickets online at www.coppellchoir.com/tickets.  Ticket prices range from $10 to $28.   Very limited tickets can be purchased at the door.
Second reminder, tonight is our GIVE BACK night at J. Macklin’s.  Be sure to invite your friends and family to eat there to support CHS Choir between 5:30 and 9:30.  For more information, see the email that was sent by Becky Barnes yesterday.

J. Macklin’s Grill is sponsoring a “Give Back” night for the Coppell Choir on Tuesday, November 29th from 5:30pm-9:30pm. A portion of ALL proceeds from that time frame will be donated to the choir boosters.

We will also be given the opportunity to have choir students shadow several of the servers to help promote the choir program and offer information about our upcoming events, like the Madrigal Feast. They will also be allowed to help refill water and tea glasses, as well!

CHOIR STUDENTS: If you are interested in volunteering to shadow, please sign up here: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0549afa728aaf58-jmacklins

Please encourage all of your friends and family to dine in at J. Macklin’s Tuesday night, November 29th! (I’ve included a printable flyer, if you’d like to post around town!)

Thank you for your support of the Coppell
Choir!

Respira Dessert Show & Silent Auction FAQ

Desserts

How much are desserts? Dessert is included in the price of your ticket!

When will dessert be served? Desserts will be served during intermission during both the Friday night show and the Saturday matinee.

I have a peanut allergy…should I be worried? Not at all…All of our desserts have been inspected by the Boosters and are peanut-free.

Silent Auction

When will the auction begin? The silent auction bidding will begin Friday evening before the show begins at 6:30pm. It will resume Saturday before the show at 1:30pm.

When can I bid on items? You will be able to bid on items 30 before each show and during the intermission on both Friday night and Saturday afternoon.

How can I ensure I bid high enough on Friday night to win on Saturday? Bidders on Friday night can submit a MAX bid that is sealed until the auction is finished on Saturday’s show.  The MAX bid is then revealed. If the MAX is more than the Saturday bids, then the holder of the MAX bid wins the auction item.

What kind of items are available for bid? We will have LOTS of gift cards to Coppell area restaurants and business, as well as jewelry, auto gear, photography packages, sweet goodies, and much more!

When will I pay for/pick up the items I won the bid for? Please pay for your items after the Saturday matinee show ends or at Sunday pickup between 2-3:30pm in the choir room.

What if I come Friday night, but am not available to pick up after the auction ends on Saturday? You can come to the school to pick up your item(s) on Sunday afternoon from 2-3:30pm in the choir room.

When will the auction end? The auction bidding ends at the end of intermission during the Saturday matinee.

How will I be notified if I have the winning bid? You will get an email or text from Mr. Brown during the 2nd act of the Saturday matinee. We will also post the winners on our website: www.coppellchoir.com/silentauction.

How can I pay for my items? You can pay for your items with cash or checks written to “CHS Choir Boosters”.

What happens to my personal information on the bid sheet after the auction is over? Once the winning bidder has been notified and the item has been paid for and picked up, the bid sheets will be shredded. No information will be transferred or used by the Booster organization.

UPDATE: Desserts DUE WEDNESDAY / Silent Auction Items DUE TOMORROW

This information was sent out originally on November 2.

Choir Parents and Students,

Respira (our all girls show choir) is about to debut their fall Dessert Show and Silent Auction. The shows are on Friday, November 18th (7 PM) and Saturday, November 19th  (2 PM).  We are expecting a big crowd and need your help with Desserts and Silent Auction Items.  Reserved Tickets are available at www.coppellchoir.com/ticketsAll choir members are highly encouraged to provide a dessert or silent auction item.

DESSERTS –We need individually wrapped, single serving desserts. Two big cookies in a baggie, a slice of cake, any kind of candied mix, cupcakes, brownies etc. are all great. If the dessert requires a fork we ask that you attach one. Please do not bring desserts that require refrigeration or anything with nuts due to nut allergies.

Our choir directors are asking all A Cappella members to bring one dozen dessert servings. All Respira members are required to bring two dozen individually wrapped desserts.

SILENT AUCTION ITEMS – All Members of A Cappella and Respira are required to donate one item for the Silent Auction.  Members of all other choirs may participate as well.  If you are going to donate a gift card: it needs to be in an envelope with your name, value of gift card, and say “Respira Dessert Show Silent Auction” in the brown booster box and an email to Mr. Brown.  Should donated items be valued high enough to qualify for a sponsorship, have the donors complete our sponsorship form to be included as a sponsor.    http://www.coppellchoir.com/sponsorship

DEADLINES – Please bring your desserts to the Madrigal room by 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 17th.  All silent auction items need to be in by Tuesday (11/15) before the show to Mr. Brown.

PARENT VOLUNTEER NEEDS –  We are still needing Respira parent volunteers to setup the desserts for both performances and assist with the Silent Auction.   Without these volunteers, we are unable to have a performance.  If you are available to volunteer, please complete the volunteer form online at www.coppellchoir.com/volunteer by the end of THIS WEEK. ‘=

Thanks so much for your help. If you have questions please contact boosters@coppellchoir.com.
