CHS Outstanding Soloist at TSSEC – Winona Martin

Winona Martin earned “Outstanding Soloist” award at UIL State Solo and Ensemble contest on May 25.   She was among a select group of less than 300 out of 24,000 soloists competing to earn this honor.  These students were selected by judges as truly outstanding” students that they would like to have performing in their studios.

Also during the competition, nineteen Coppell soloists earned Division I Superior Gold medals.  Another twenty students earned silver medals for solo performances.   In addition, three ensembles completed with two earning a Gold rating and one receiving Silver awards.   To qualify for the competition, students earned superior ratings at competition earlier this year.Winona
