Pre U.I.L. Information

Dear CHS Choir Parents and Students,

This Thursday is our Pre U.I.L. Choir Contest in the CHS Auditorium.  It is a required event for all choir students.  Parents are welcomed to come listen.   Click here for the schedule for Thursday so you know when your student needs to be here.  We may run ahead of schedule, so please have your singer(s) arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled warmup time. They will need to wear their black choir t-shirt and jeans.

Also, we are out of bottled waters.  It is really helpful for the students in all the choirs to have bottled waters.  If possible, please send your student with a case of bottled waters to school as your schedule allows in the next few days.

Thanks for having your student(s) in choir.  We really enjoy working with them and look forward to them being very successful at our upcoming contests and festivals.  As always, please let us know if you have questions.

Here is some information about tonight:

Hello VC4:Bliss Attendees –

Good News!  Eric Whitacre has just posted the score for BLISS on his website: ericwhitacre.com.   Please note that this is an excerpt from the score which represents about one and a half minutes of the final four minute piece.  The full piece will eventually have a long introduction, and much more after added to the end, but this should give you a nice taste of where it all is headed.   This excerpt is what you will be rehearsing with Eric this weekend.

Follow the links below (there are 3 pages total) to download and print out the score.  Limited copies will be made available on Saturday, March 16, so please print your own copy now.
